How long have you been in Roller Derby? 2 years
How did you get involved with the sport? Always wanted to do it, finally had some time to try it out.
Describe your experience learning to play Roller Derby: Hard work and discouraging at times but the adrenaline keeps me coming back.
What is your Pre-Derby athletic background? High school Volleyball
Have you sustained any Derby-related injuries? Just lots of bruises
What’s the story behind your Derby name? Ronda Rousey has always been an inspirational leader in women’s sports. I want to be as driven and focused as her and stay true to my Rowdee self.
How would you describe your playing style? I am still trying to figure that out. I depend a lot on my teammates for the stability I need to make the hits that matter.
What do you like to do when you’re off the track? Hang with my family, go out with my girls, and relax and enjoy life’s little miracles.
What’s been your favorite Derby Moment so far? So many to choose from. Overall, derby has been the highlight of the last 2 years. I’ve made lifelong friends, taken and given beatings, and feel a sense of confidence that I have never felt ever.
Why do you play Roller Derby? For me.
